Confronting and overcoming seasonal blues
Comment
Right about now, I can feel seasonal blues kicking off in the field. If your empathic gifts are active, likelihood is you might feel them too. It's because all the hype and expectation for Christmas that was built up by society cannot be fulfilled by the excessive consumerism. It mainly tends to disappoint. And so afterwards, people are faced with the (awesome) ordinaryness of life.
It's why I felt to feature this post today...

So if you find this happening to you, my advice is not to try to conceal, mask over or distract to make it better; rather to take yourself off for a few hours, perhaps in nature, find stillness and go deep within it. Work to accept the awesome ordinaryness of life. Look for the beauty in the simplicity - maybe a flower, a tree or a leaf - that this will always be good enough. Then let life unfold from this acceptance with appreciaition. It is sure to change the mood into something more embracing and upbeat - new creations will flow in their due time.
