This just landed for me, probably because I was looking for some perspective. . When we look at the night sky and see the "milky way" we are actually looking at the glow of the center of our galaxy. Why do they call it the milky way?? It is the core of the galaxy we are dancing and traveling through space with.. Everything else observed on the sky is beyond it or passing through it. Everything is in motion all the time.
