The Grand Canyon experienced massive flooding. It was only an inch of rain in a normal monsoon season. The main reason behind it is a megafire ignited by lightning on the north rim in July of 2025. It destroyed 145,000 acres of natural forestry. They call this megafire the Dragon Bravo Fire. It took 3 months to contain it.
We were booked to stay there next week on the south rim. We have been relocated to a different hotel further south. Again signs things are in full motion.
