Winning and losing

Hi Open and community,
Had some great reflections on winning and losing on Saturday. After winning the tote, that evening i headed to the local Uni observatory for a lecture on Titan and some post-lecture roof-top stargazing. For unimportant reasons i chose to leave early, and as I was getting on the bus, I realized my keys were missing! After retracing my steps and reviewing the evening I realized they had been lifted by some kids sitting behind me in the auditorium (I usually have them clipped to the side of my pants with a carabiner so they must have been sticking out between the seats). Big nudge from the universe to trust my instincts instead of ignoring them, (I had felt to put my keys in my bag instead of hanging from my side before i went into the auditorium, and I had felt to move seats even before the kids arrived) and to always be on my toes, especially when out in the sim. I knew something was up but gave in to somnolence and let it all slide, which i've always tended to do. Lesson learned I hope. The energy from the moment i stepped out and throughout the evening felt tense and off and I even had a crow yapping at me when i came out, giving me warning it feels like now. I'm quite lucky I was able to crash on the common room couch in the transition wing courtesy of one of the residents and have access to a washroom, as i camped out for the night awaiting a staff to arrive the next morning. The resident even set up her hammock for me to sleep in as the sofa is small and quite uncomfortable. So I also got an experience in sleeping in a hammock which I'd never done before so I got loads from the experience which was nothing more than a minor irritation but also a great lesson. Opposite and equal reactions!
Much love, Barb
