The first thing that struck me is the alchemical relevance of the stars.
"In alchemical symbolism the five points signify the interconnection of the four elements (Air, Fire, Water, and Earth) united by the fifth element or "quintessence" that is sometimes called Aether and more often Spirit." The five pointed star also represents wholeness: a symbol of divine perfection, the complete union of the opposites.
