Yes, indeed, this is a problem when in relationship - it;s so easy to lose subtle, unactualised aspects of self in the other. More accurately to say: we don't express the reflections we see in our partner. Why should you, when the perfect reflection is actualised by them?

This is fertile ground, both for OC and its BS variant. Especially anchoring in the base or the crown.

What I personally find essential, therefore, is to make sure each partner is living their own life and walking their own path.

I find it means the moments where we come together are then totally magical - because the other remains always a mystery.

Each is giving the space to the other to express their fullness.
