Anything could happen!

Following the discussions about judgments and discernment, I have a deeper understanding of judgments. I had a fascinating experience where I was sitting in a cafe with my friend and having coffee. A guy ahead of us started talking quite loudly on his phone. At first, this irritated me a bit. Then I saw a veil of judgement in the situation where I was judging him as a particular way. Following that, we had a contemplation about discernment — that he or anyone could change at any point. And by condemning the person or the situation, I'm fixating on it being a certain way and not allowing the possibility to change. In effect, we become the prisoner of our own judgment! The moment this realisation landed, a fascinating thing happened — he left the cafe to talk outside.
It was a good example in seeing how our perception of reality either holds it in place or completely transforms it. This helped me explore how much we fixate ourselves in relation to the situation we are in, and it doesn't give it the possibility to change. But really, in a universe of change, anything could happen!
